Peppermint Oreo Fudge
Ingredients:
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
- 2 cups crushed Oreo cookies
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
Instructions:
Press parchment paper into an 8 x 8-inch 20 x 20 cm baking dish, leaving an overhang on the sides for ease of removal afterwards
Sweetened condensed milk and semisweet chocolate chips should be combined in a microwave-safe bowl
The mixture should be microwaved for 30 second bursts, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth
Add the crushed peppermint candies and peppermint extract and stir
Make sure the crushed Oreo cookies are mixed in evenly by folding them in
Pour the fudge mixture into the baking dish that has been preheated, leveling it out and gently pressing it down
In a microwave, melt the unsalted butter, then pour it over the fudge
To make the fudge firm and set, refrigerate it for at least two to three hours
After the fudge sets, remove it from the baking dish by using the overhanging parchment paper
After putting it on a cutting board, cut it into rectangles or squares
